Goals

The Foundation De Benedetti-Cherasco 1547 maintains a vivid memory of the Armistice of Cherasco of 1796 between Revolutionary France on one side and Piedmont and Austria;n the other.

Beginning in those years until the reconstruction of 1814, the Jewish population of the territory under French rule lived its first period of freedom and civil rights.

The Foundation in memory of that period which followed the Armistice of 1796, promotes activities and events that maintain and develop a cultural connection between France and Piedmont The foundation acts through the "Armistice 1796 Committee" , comprised of members of the Board of Administration and external members who are invited to contribute to the projects based on their specific expertise.
