Prof. Lia Addadi completed her Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute in 1979 in structural chemistry. Her research interests include biomineralization, molecular recognition, antibody interactions with organized surfaces and the molecular mechanism of cell adhesion. Research in these fields may further the understanding of such diseases as osteoporosis and atherosclerosis, as well as of amyloid-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s. She has also provided new insights into the design of materials with unique properties. Her numerous awards include the Prelog Medal in Stereochemistry by the ETH (Federal Polytechnic Institute, Zurich, Switzerland) and the Spiers Medal of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Born 1951, he graduated cum laude from the Turin Medical school in June 1976. Research Assistant at the Radiobiological Institute (TNO ) Rijswijk(76-78). Visiting fellow, Bone Marrow Transplant Center of St.Antoine Hospital in Paris. 1988: Visiting prof.at the Department of Clinical Oncology S. Giovanni Hospital in Bellinzona.(1981) He became an assistante professor in 1980, associate professor in 1985. and full Professor of Internal Medicine since 1990 . In 2002 he became a Professor of Medical Oncology. He was Director of Division of Internal Medicine at Ospedale Maggiore, Novara (1992-96) He is currently the Director of the Dept of Clinical Oncology of Ordine Mauriziano and the Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment, Candiolo (TO). Author of more than 150 scientific publications.
Nata a Torino nel 1962, si è laureata nel 1987 in Scienze Politiche all’Università degli Studi di Torino. Si è occupata prevalentemente di organizzazione aziendale, Controllo di gestione, Gestione risorse umane, Pianificazione e controllo. Dal 1987-1991 Consulente di organizzazione per KPMG Peat Marwick Dal 1991-1993 segue una operazione di finanza straordinaria con Swedish Match Group. Successivamente Responsabile per la Direzione Sanità, Consorzio USAS 1993-1996. entra poi in Consulman S.p.A quale Responsabile Divisione Sanità: Membro del Nucleo di valutazione della Regione Valle D’Aosta e collabora per la redazione di articoli di organizzazione sanitaria per Il Sole 24 Ore. Dal 2004 con il marito Benedetto De Benedetti e Maurizio Mancini fonda la IRMET SpA , centro di Medicina Nucleare a Torino di cui è Amministratore Delegato.
